Financial Aid
New Brunswick Student Aid
Administered by New Brunswick's Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour, the Student Financial Services office helps eligible New Brunswick residents with the cost of their post-secondary education. Whether planning to attend a college, university, university-college, public institute or private training school, students have access to loans, grants and bursaries.
New Brunswick's student financial programs are need-based, providing assistance when students and their immediate families do not have the resources to meet the costs of full- and part-time education and basic living expenses. However, eligibility also depends on maintaining a satisfactory scholastic standard.
The Student Assistance Office administers programs on behalf of the Government of New Brunswick and of Canada, including Canada Student Loans, Canada Study Grants, Canada Access Grants and the Millennium Bursary. In addition, New Brunswick's Department of Finance offers a financial program for new students enrolling in a provincially funded New Brunswick university.
